This 30-year old grand dame was sold new in monroe louisiana to a lady who had a debilitating stroke in 1989. Her two sons (now in their 70's) stored the car from 1989 in her garage until their mom passed away in the nursing home this past year. It is truly astonishing in appearance! Paint is glossy, clearcoat shiny. No dings or dents anywhere on the body! Tires are at 90% (mastercraft p205/75r15) and were recently replaced when the car was pulled out of storage, though spare is original. Wire wheel covers lock. This 5th avenue is a reminder of how solid cars were once built; no lightweight plastic here. Shut the doors and trunk with a good heavy solid thud! The gray leather seats are perfect. Lazy boy recliners have got nothing on these seats! 12 corinthian cows must have died to provide this much button-tufted sofa-like leather comfort... Driver seat is 8-way power and passenger seat is 4-way power with manual recline. Road trip necessary to fully appreciate the luxurious comfort. Rear seats are equally plush and squishy. 17-ounce deep-pile carpeting is silver gray and nearly new. Probably the deepest pile carpeting ever put in a vehicle. All interior panels are near-perfect, though headliner is original and well-kept. Controls all operate properly (go find a cassette tape!), and include power mirrors, lighted passenger vanity visor, power windows, a/c, original am/fm/cassette, cruise, tilt, power antenna does not go all the way down (goes down to 4). The front passenger inside door marker light does not illuminate and one knob is missing on the radio that controls the fader/balance. Everything else is as close to perfect as possible!
